Happy June! I feel almost guilty being here because of all the tornado warnings back home. Anyways, this morning was a little bit later of a start- we headed to the beach after breakfast for a couple of hours, as usual, then came back and cooked some gourmet boxed mac and cheese for lunch. The best 79 cents I ever spent.
Side note, I’ve been trying to call this parasailing place for a good three days now. Yesterday, their truck was broken, so that was no good. Today, I kept calling and getting the answering service until right after lunch. “Hey, do you have room for a triple today?” “Definitely, we’ll pick you up on the beach in ten minutes. Look for a small white boat with a man named Nigel driving it.” Ok, great. We threw our stuff together in about 30 seconds, left the lunch mess for later, and walked out the door. There was literally no time to be nervous! I’m terrified of unprotected heights, but PARASAILING WAS AWESOME. Time to raise the fear factor and try skydiving next! ☺ Who wants to come with me?!
After parasailing, we all took a nap for like, three hours. All the excitement wore us out! Then I made us tacos for dinner as we all just hung around for a bit and updated ourselves on the tornados back home via texts, phone calls, & web. Say hi to Oz for us, New England!
After dinner, we got ourselves ready to go across the street to Coconut Joes for the Bruins game. I figured no one in the Caribbean would really care about the Stanley Cup, but I turned out to be wrong. Coconut Joe’s was packed. However, EVERYONE was rooting for Canada. WTF? I yelled “GO BRUINS” and no one really appreciated that….they’re lucky I didn’t yell “Canucks Suck” or “F*** the Canucks” (both phrases copyrighted by ME, obviously). Coincidence that both of those phrases rhyme? I think not. Anyways, I enjoyed yet another Beergarita as well as a Mudslide. And we got potato skins, OBVIOUSLY. So delicious. The food & drinks almost made up for the Bruins loss, but not entirely. I’m totally ready for bed. Hard to believe tomorrow is our last full day in Cayman!
