Tuesday, May 31 (Day 5)

Day 5? REALLY? Anyways, gonna keep this posting mad short. I’m so tired. Today, we went to the beach in the morning, came back, then went out to explore. Our exploring method is picking a direction and going with it. Yesterday we went right out of the resort, and today we went left. Innovative, I know. We saw our 2nd dead iguana on our walk- much different then the squirrel and skunk road kill we all experience in New England, but no less unpleasant. We also got honked at 29 times on our walk- we ended up walking back via the beach (which was fabulous), so we couldn’t count the honks on the return.

We didn’t do a whole lot, just stopping in to random stores- it was definitely more exciting walking to the right of our condo yesterday because it landed us in Georgetown, aka tourist central. We’ll probably head that way again on Thursday for some last minute shopping and dinner at Margaritaville. However, we did stop to get ice cream at the most ghetto Haagen Dazs I have ever been to in my life. The chick behind the counter was talking on her cellphone while serving us at the same time....the ice cream was the first and last purchase any of us made all day.

Tonight, we headed out to dinner at Coconut Joe’s, which was delicious as usual. I’m obsessed with their potato skins, as well as their Beergaritas, which I experienced for the first time tonight. WOW- definitely trying this at home. I had grouper tacos, Annie had a chicken salad & raspberry margarita, & Kerilyn has a burger & strawberry daiquiri- just in case anyone was wondering. Tonight, I am exhuated! I think it’s from all the sun, honestly. We’re going to make pina coladas and watch a movie, if I don’t fall asleep first. We’re the wildest bunch you’ll probably ever meet.
